About the course

Combine the study of law with a focus on commercial law, business management, and economics and you’ll build a strong foundation for a future career as a law or business professional. Law is all-pervasive in the business environment, any law professional would benefit from an understanding of business practice, and those in business need a good knowledge of legal systems. You’ll learn to ‘think like a lawyer’, undertake relevant legal research, and apply your knowledge of legal and business management to broad social problems and challenges. You can choose to spend an extra year abroad at one of our partner institutions in Europe, enhancing your studies from an international perspective.

This programme allows you to put your theory into practice, engaging with real-world problems and case studies. In the final year, students can take the Law Clinic module and gain mentored work experience, providing legal advice to real clients. Studying at Hull gives you the opportunity to get involved in a wealth of extracurricular activities to boost your employability. The Student Law Society runs an extensive programme of competitions in mooting, negotiating and client interviewing.
